Wow, what a ski season it’s been. Is it really Spring already? Well call us nostalgic but we think it’s time to look back fondly at some of our amazing Winter weddings which live as vividly in our memories as they do in the photographs.
First up are Paul and Krystal, a delightful pair from Vancouver whose December nuptials at iconic venue Nita Lake Lodge were packed with enough memorable moments to last a lifetime (which we’re sure they will!)
The couple longed for snow to provide the Winter Wonderland backdrop they dreamed of. So, like good little wedding planners we did our very best snow dance. And it worked! Beautiful, big fat snowflakes fell in such profusion that the ceremony had to be moved inside from the originally planned outdoor patio location. Needless to say the Nita Lake Lodge staff carried off the switch with their usual professional aplomb.
Once we had finished wiping away our tears from the sight of Paul carrying the couple’s baby son down the aisle (oh my) the party proceeded literally with a bang as the couple sabered champagne, and carried on its merry way well into the night in the romantically candlelit train station. The fun included a keenly contested snowball fight between groom and groomsmen, one of THE most popular and funny photo booths we have ever seen, and the priceless sight of a shirtless dancing groom. From the magically snowy beginnings to the fabulously fun party conclusion, this is one Winter Wonderland wedding we’ll never forget.
